This is the card of the wonderful gentleman, the courthouse clerk, who mid-husbanded The Case. I’ve never worked so hard writing anything before in my life because you can get a case rejected for giving a clerk the klempt, which i did with the girl before Kevin took over. I think my pink eyeglasses jammed her up before i even asked my first question and she just up and left and closed her window. But Kevin’s the boss. I’d hoped Jeff at window #17 would be in but this was even better because if he accepts it, i’m in like Flynn.
I see why i’ve relied on “word is bond” codes because trying to get a case past an irritated court clerk is like a straight guy trying to pick up a woman in 2026, which is like Indiana Jones trying to make it past squeezing rock walls, exploding snakes, and cyanide mosquitoes. But I did it: i squeezed all the humanity out of this case and referred to myself as “the Plaintiff” over and over.
I’m also relieved to have this tale in the public record because for the past two years i’ve been writing about what happened to James and me without “judicial privilege” to run out the one-year clock that has to pass when posting publicly, to avoid libel suits later when i write about this with real names. But now that it’s in the public record i can write about it with the actual persons’ names, i just have to use words like “alleged” and “the lawsuit alleges.”
as an author, i had to wait for the court stamp to be truly and actually free to write about what i allege that they’d done to us so that i’m protected by “fair report privilege.”
i also wrote publicly before about all this because i was and am still very much afraid for my life, and assholes and bullies who have the respectable positions in society don’t want their peers to know what they’re doing on the low, and when you out them, they either pull back or get worse.
unfortunately it went both ways. when it got worse they just gave me more proof, so i had to use what was bad for good, and good for occasional peaceful moments. i was burning out on panic attacks so i was forced to go to court because no agency, no lawyer, no ONE could save me…
except for me.
and i had a lot of angels, like Neyl at the small claims division who taught me how to serve a corporation properly when i broke my teeth on domino’s pizza celebrating finishing the Rent Board petition that turned out to be as big as a phone book.
i thought: “You’ve GOT to be kidding.” the last thing i needed was broken teeth and the hassle or time to deal with it. turns out, serving Lincoln Shaw and then Ali Iqbal incorrectly was a blessing because Neyl, the bearded court clerk, taught me how to do it right, which i figured wasn’t worth the squeeze regarding juicing Lincoln Shaw, and i kicked my case up from small claims for a garage theft, to a 15-causes of action case that made everything else in my life seem like a breeze.
The SF Law library is more fun that the actual library and the librarians help me spend 45 minutes poring through tomes trying to find the legal definition of “conversion” which made my entire case blossom into something that makes my nipples go shwing! with excitement.
The New York in me is so back.
The lizard people aren’t gonna win against us humans that easily, it turns out.
i found out about the new legal precedents set by the Duncan v Kihagi case, the African landlord who (like Lincoln Shaw) got her buildings for a song because they were full of rent-controlled tenants. Attorneys, Greenstein & McDonald won the right to include harassment in other instances/buildings to prove how bad Kihagi was, whereas before you had a narrow legal limit. That’s what i’m verrry interested in using for my case as i have decades of accidental proof from being an author and saving everything in case i had a good idea i need to pull from what i’d written before without trying to recreate it.
that, and the new passive aggressive lizard people don’t confront via words or face, they text, email, and photograph you reacting to what they set up. so there’s documentation if you keep it. or record it.
which i hate doing. but as i said: once i started going public, they’d either back off or get even madder and react harder so i’d save what i caught, hoping i’d make it past another panic attack. at some point they get easier when you realize it’s your animal physical reaction to danger and if you sit, breathe, pray… they eventually pass.

i started making Puerto Rican food to feel better.

these tiny flowers are from after Kevin Dougherty filed my case and i sobbed for joy and sat outside City Hall waiting for my appointment with my attorneys with Eviction Defense, and picked some flowers and a la the San Francisco song, i put them in my hair.

i picked up some dried leaves because now that the case had a number and i was free and safe and it could all be publicly known for real, i saw how beautiful they were and wanted to draw them in a still life.
so i put them in my bike bag and went to the eviction defense super cool offices and ended up forgetting the bag was wide open so they wouldn’t crush and thus i broke a huge beautiful glass vase.
a vase’s life had to be taken to give these dead leaves new life.
I was mortified but Lux Crumpler was a peach about it. I’m still mortified.

below is a photo of how everytime i pee the kitties want me to brush them because i’m helpless and can’t run away.

Joel Marshall is going to play James in the moving pictures we’ll make.
Emily Charles is going to write the San Francisco Noir fictional book on James.
I’m just glad the Truth is finally in the public record and all will be known now.
Citywide Property won’t give me the process serving info on Lincoln Shaw, with is apropos to bullies: they’ll do evil behind the scenes but never step up and out into the Light.
That’s why i sobbed. Because The Light is back in style, in fashion. and not a moment too soon because all this darkness cynicism and psychopathy is hella boring and outta style.
i’m going to look for an attorney to take over now that i’ve written it and learned so much. i want to create a new world for San Francisco, not fight these shmucks. I want to help others feel self-reliant because just going to the Law Library made me leave raising my fists in the air and wanting to crush hug Aaron and Salma for teaching me to fish and fight and not feel daunted and helpless.
I’m back. James can’t have suffered and died that down low and dirty way for nada. No dice. I never had the time to do a memorial or properly grieve because i was fighting my first of these three evictions and all the other tenants going insane on me. All this is an example of idle hands are the devil’s playground, because if these fucks had to actually work or create something, they’d be too tired and busy to ruin others’ lives.
it’s made san francisco suck because the cops would come on a routine basis and the neighbors are traumatized and it makes the whole world a ghetto.

San Francisco made all my dreams come true and gave James and me our life together of long conversations I’m only now just starting to understand about sleeping under bridges being illegal for rich and poor alike. I owe it back. I aim to bring magic art and new life and ideas to my beloved town. I belong to this building. IT won’t let me go no matter what Lincoln Shaw, Citywide’s Bill Cosgrove, Carol Cosgrove, Andre Moreno, Julie Van, and Dave Wasserman, and Sandra and Janaina Pereira think or do to me.
Thank you all for the support best wishes energy love letters dreams readings and ideas…
This Bitch is backety back, youse guys. I’m surrounded by Angels. I can’t lose.
Now, to find an attorney who can work the Duncan v. Kihagi angle so i can get back to work on the ENCAT megazine and the book I’ll be typing as Emily dictates it. She’s got the muse. it tagged her.
with much love for real…
